Danny Sutton revealed the traditional Christmas vegetable with a chip shop twist to “do something seasonal and different”.
Customers are quickly catching on to the idea and demanding the dish is served as a side order instead of mushy peas.
They can even get their festive sugar kick with mince pies fried in oil with brandy butter.
Pop-up restaurant Sutton and Sons Fish & Chips in Stoke Newington, east London, is serving up the traditional dishes with the bizarre twist.
The shop is run by Mr Sutton and his wife Hana who also serve battered creme eggs and deep fried Mars bars.
