Tory Grant Shapps looks set to resign

Tory minister Grant Shapps looks set to resign because the party is undignified by allegations of bullying which led to a suicide.

Mr Shapps, the international development minister, had been told to stand down along with Conservative Party chairman Lord Feldman amid claims they failed to act on reports of bullying within the Conservatives’ youth wing.

It is understood Mr Schapps is set to quit his ministerial role as the party’s reputation is left in tatters.

Ray Johnson, who made the allegations, claimed his 21-year-old son Elliott would still be alive if Lord Feldman and Grant Shapps had behaved “responsibly”.
