Bangladesh Women sealed ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier semi-final from Group A after a 41-run victory over Papua New Guinea Women at Asian Institute of Technology Ground on Tuesday (December 1).
PNG skipper Norma Ovasuru won the toss and chose to field first. Tigresses scored 100 runs losing 7 wickets. In response, Papua New Guinea Women were all out for only 59 runs.
Bangladesh bowler Khadija Tul Kubra picked 5 wickets for 11 runs. She was named player of the match.
With this win, Bangladesh reached the semifinals of the tournament with 100 percent victories in the group stage.
The two finalists of this tournament will qualify for the 2016 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 scheduled to be held in India.
