The Wave Brand New Trailer & Poster

The Wave

The Wave is a Norwegian movie that is already winning over the critics and the first trailer for the disaster film has arrived.

The Wave is a movie that is already being held in high regard and it does look like it is going to be a nerve-shredding ride.

The brand new trailer for the film has arrived and we have it for you to take a look at:

The Wave marks the return Roar Uthaug to the director’s chair for his first feature film since Escape back in 2012.

This is set to be one of his biggest movies to date and he is one to keep an eye on, as he is going on to direct the new Tomb Raider movie with Alicia Vikander.

Kristoffer Joner will take on the central role of Kristian Eikjord in the film, and is joined on the cast list by Ane Dahl Torp, Jonas Hoff Oftebro, Edith Haagenrud-Sande. Eili Harboe, and Laila Goody.

Experienced, Norwegian geologist Kristian Eikfjord (Joner) has accepted a job offer out of town. He is getting ready to move from the city of Geiranger with his family, when he and his colleagues measure small geological changes under ground.

Kristian realises his worst nightmare is about to come true: the alarm goes off and disaster is upon them. With less than 10 minutes to react, it becomes a race against time in order to save as many lives as possible including his own family.

Some critics are saying that The Wave puts Hollywood disaster movies to shame… I really cannot wait to see what Uthaug delivers.

The Wave is released 12th August.
