The 33-year-old actress is reportedly working on settling the scheduling conflicts between the film and her ABC show ‘Quantico’.
“Quantico” actress Priyanka Chopra may star in “Baywatch”. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 33-year-old actress is currently in talks to join Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron in the movie adapted from the 1990s TV series about California lifeguards.
Chopra is reportedly working on settling the scheduling conflicts between the film and her ABC show. The news outlet also reveals that the actress will play a villain. It will be Chopra’s debut in English-language movie. She had her Hollywood breakthrough by starring on ABC’s “Quantico”.
Earlier this month, Johnson revealed that model Kelly Rohrbach signed on to star as the iconic character, C.J. Parker, previously made famous by Pamela Anderson on the cult TV series. In addition, Alexandra Daddario was tapped to play Summer, originally portrayed by Nicole Eggert. On the other hand, Seth Gordon will be directing the film.
While plot details are still scarce, the movie focuses on the leader of an elite group of lifeguards (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a young former Olympian (Efron), to save their beloved bay. The studio is reportedly taking a comedic route with the movie. Production is expected to begin in a few months.
