Pamela Anderson Added to ‘Baywatch’ Movie’s Star-Studded Cast

The Rock has just taken to Instagram to announce that the actress/model, who played CJ Parker on the ’90s TV series, will join him in the big screen adaptation.

Another original “Baywatch” star has been tapped to appear in the iconic TV series’ big screen adaptation. Following in the footsteps of David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson has officially joined the film’s star-studded cast.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced the 48-year-old star’s involvement in an Instagram post he shared on Thursday night, April 21. Captioning a photo of him posing with the Playboy playmate, the actor wrote, “She introduced the world to ‘CJ Parker’ and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation – for the most successful TV show of all time.”

“A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast. We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!” he continued, adding the hashtags #PamAnderson, #OS and #OriginalSmokestack.

The “Baywatch” movie is directed by Seth Gordon and will center on the leader of an elite group of lifeguards (The Rock) who is forced to team up with a young former Olympian (Zac Efron) in order to save the beloved bay.

Taking over the role of CJ Parker from Anderson is Kelly Rohrbach. Alexandra Daddario and Priyanka Chopra are other names set to star in the pic that is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on May 19, 2017.
