The 25-year-old model has signed on to star as C.J. Parker in the upcoming action comedy movie, joining the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario.
Paramount has just found an actress to play C.J. Parker in “Baywatch” movie. Model Kelly Rohrbach has signed on to star as the iconic character previously made famous by Pamela Anderson in the cult TV series.
It’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who announced the casting news. He uploaded a series of hilarious videos on his Instagram account to welcome his co-star. “Yes, she’s a walking smoke stack but more importantly… she’s smart, tough and funny. Just the way we like ’em,” Johnson captioned the first video.
A pleasure welcoming @kellyrohrbach to our #BAYWATCH family for the iconic role of “CJ Parker”. Yes, she’s a walking smoke stack but more importantly… she’s smart, tough and funny. Just the way we like ’em. Get ready world, we can’t wait to bring you our generation’s #BAYWATCH! You’ll have fun… 👊🏾🔥💯👙🍆 (last emoji somewhat inappropriate).
He posted another video, which parodies “Baywatch” iconic slow-motion sequence. He is seen running down the beach side by side with the model to recreate the famous scene. Things then take a ridiculous turn when Johnson pushes Rohrbach into the sand and the theme song suddenly switches to Drake’s “Hotline Bling”. “For our #BAYWATCH and the iconic role of ‘CJ Parker’ I had to make sure @kellyrohrbach was… tough,” so read the caption.

Johnson and Rohrbach are joined in the cast by the likes of Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario, who was recently tapped to play Summer (originally portrayed by Nicole Eggert). To be directed by Seth Gordon, the movie reportedly centers on a young lifeguard (Efron) who doesn’t want to follow the rules of the force when he teams up with a veteran guard (Johnson). Official release date has yet to be announced, but the movie is expected to hit U.S. theaters in 2017.
