Many young UK Muslims sympathise with British jihadis fighting in Syria

Many young British Muslims sympathise with those who have fled the UK to fight for Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria, according to a poll run in a tabloid newspaper.

Muslims aged 18 to 34 were the biggest supporters of British jihadis, while one in five across all ages admitted they understood why fellow Muslims would make the perilous journey to the war-torn country to fight for the terror group.

The shocking figures, run in The Sun newspaper, were collected following the multiple attacks on Paris 10-days ago allegedly led by French and Belgian ISIS fighters returning from Syria.

A total of 130 people were killed and more than 360 injured in the attacks which yesterday were followed by 16 people thought to be ISIS supporters being arrested in Belgium.
