Martin Guptill fired 80 off just 48 balls as New Zealand posted 180 for 5 against Pakistan in their World T20 match on Tuesday.
Winning the toss, Kiwis skipper Kane Williamson opted to bat first and he along with Guptill gave their team the perfect start, making 62 in the opening partnership.
Mohammad Irfan did remove Williamson, but Guptill hit the ball all around the park to put the Kiwis in control. The opener hit ten fours and three sixes in his tornedo innings while Ross Taylor also blasted 36 off 23 late on to lead their team to a big total.
Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Sami both bagged two wickets.
