The rumored ‘Supergirl’ / ‘The Flash’ crossover will reportedly feature a storyline about New Krypton.
A few days ago, there’s a report saying that The Flash could be coming to “Supergirl” in May’s sweeps week, if the CBS freshman gets a back nine episode order. Now, Bleeding Cool reports that the crossover is a requirement to do if the show does get those extra episodes.
According to the site which also first reported the possible crossover, it will be “part of an arc that takes on the storyline from the Supergirl comics about New Krypton – that comic saw 100,000 Kryptonians come to Earth after Brainiac freed them from the Bottle City of Kandor, with a new planet being built for them.”
The story mirrors a plotline currently running in “Dark Knight III: The Master Race”. However, given the big scale of filming and many extras that may be involved in the filming of the scenes, there could be a change to the storytelling to adjust to TV budget.
The site also delivers bad news for those looking forward to another Constantine appearance on TV. After saying that Matt Ryan would reprise the role as the occult detective in season 2 of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”, a “well connected source” says that the show may not get a second season because it’s “incredibly expensive.” Instead, The CW may replace it with “a totally different show.”
