The England versus France friendly match at Wembley will be held today which will be under the security by armed police in the aftermath of the deadly Paris terror attacks. PRINCE William will be present in the match.
The Duke of Cambridge – who is the President of the FA, will be in attendance at the match as a show of “solidarity” with the people of France, royal sources said.
The insiders added that William had not been due to go to the fixture – but wanted to do so in the aftermath of the Paris attacks.
Fans going to the game have been told to expect an increased police presence at transport hubs and “in and around” the stadium.
Deputy assistant commander Peter Terry, from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime and Operations Command, said: “We’ve reassessed what security we think we need for tomorrow night’s occasion, which will of course be a fairly sombre occasion especially considering who we’re playing.”
It comes four days after Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists carried out terror attacks near the Stade de France on Friday.
