PRESIDENTIAL hopeful Donald Trump has branded Hillary Clinton a “liar” after she claimed his comments about Muslims were helping the Islamic State’s cause.
Mrs Clinton said the terror group, also known as Daesh, were using videos of Mr Trump “insulting Islam and Muslims” to recruit more fanatics.
She even claimed he was “becoming ISIS’ top recruiter” after his call for Muslims to be banned from entering the US.
But the billionaire yesterday said she “made up” the allegations “in thin air”, adding: “She lies like crazy about everything.”
Mrs Clinton, the current frontrunner to replace Barack Obama as president, hit out at Mr Trump during a debate on Saturday night.
She said: “He is becoming ISIS’ best recruiter. They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”
She added: “We need to make sure that the really discriminatory messages that Trump is sending around the world don’t fall on receptive ears.”
But Mr Trump denied her accusations, saying: “She lies like crazy about everything.
“Whether it’s trips where she was being gunned down in a helicopter or an airplane, she’s a liar and everybody knows that.
“But she just made this up in thin air.”
He added that Mrs Clinton – who took an extended break during the televised debate – was too “weak” to become president.
He said: “She couldn’t even get back on the stage. Nobody even knows what happened to her. It’s like she went home and went to sleep…
“She couldn’t get back on the stage last night I’ll tell you why. Because we need a president with great strength and stamina and Hillary doesn’t have that.”
