A five-wicket haul by Cooper Kevon enabled Barisal Bulls to record an exciting 13 runs victory over Rangpur Riders in their opening match of the Bangladesh Premier League held on Monday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur, Dhaka.
Chasing Barisal’s 155 runs, Rangpur Riders found the chasse stiff and dismissed at 142 in 20 overs, despite M Mithun’s fighting half century.
Earlier, Barisal Bulls, rode on skipper Mahmudullha’s brilliant half century, scored a healthy total of 155 for 9 from their allotted 20 overs, after they were sent to bat first by Rangpur Riders.
